Working Title    Articulation and Evaluation Coordinator

Position Summary        
The coordinator will evaluate transfer credits for transfer, returning, incoming freshmen, military, international, post-baccalaureate, and current students to determine UCA course equivalencies for lower division course credit. Communicates with transfer universities to request syllabi for UCA course equivalencies for upper division course credit. Verifies accreditation of schools and universities for transfer credit assessment. Evaluates transfer and returning students’ transfer credit for ADHE State Minimum Core completion standards. Evaluate transfer courses within three areas; undergraduate, technical, and transitional course credit. Evaluate credit received by examination from the Advance Placement (AP) Program, College Level Examination Program (CLEP), and International Baccalaureate (IB) Program. Enter all evaluated undergraduate and transitional transfer credit, and appropriate course attributes into Banner’s Articulation Table for each transfer university. Works with department chairs for upper division course equivalencies and to onboard them into the Perceptive Content workflow approval process. Maintains knowledge of UCA transfer course policies. Assist students and stakeholders with transfer credit information.
Job Duties and Responsibilities             
● Coordinate articulation and evaluation of incoming transcripts for various student types
● Evaluate transfer and returning students’ credits for ADHE State Minimum Core completion standards
● Distinguish undergraduate, technical, and transitional course credits by examination such as the Advanced Placement Program (AP), College Level Examination Program (CLEP), and International Baccalaureate Program (IB)
● Input new and/or updated information on evaluated undergraduate and transitional transfer coursework into Banner’s Articulation Table
● Collaborate with UCA department chairs for UCA upper-division course equivalencies through Perceptive Content workflow processes
● Assist in the expansion of UCA’s Articulation Table to ensure accuracy of UCA and other University course equivalencies
● Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities             
● Knowledge of transcript evaluation and transfer credit articulation
● Proficiency with Banner and Perceptive Content software
● Knowledge of database management and basic accounting principles.
● Ability to conduct research and perform basic quantitative quality assurance reviews
● Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate activities, resources, and materials associated with the needs of the department or program.
● Work closely with the following departments: Athletic Advising; Academic Advising; Admissions; Online, Transfer, & Returning Student Services; Center for Global Learning and Engagement
● Ability to supervise team members in a highly dynamic work environment.

Required Education and/or Experience              
The formal education equivalent of a bachelor’s degree with a background in technology, data management, business administration, computer information systems, or related field and four years of experience in higher education administration. Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Office of Personnel Management. Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements, except for certification or licensure requirements, upon approval of the qualifications review committee.
Preferred Education and/or Experience             
Proficiency with Banner and Perceptive Content technologies. Strong organizational skills to further departmental vision. Experience with transcript evaluation and transfer credit articulation. Familiar with various UCA policies.
