Job Description
Summary of position:
  • Use the Trumpf, Amada and Mitsubishi lasers, and Vipros Turrett to make quality parts out of sheet metal. Program machines according to specifications. ensure sheets are loaded and unloaded in all racks and machine is functioning according to specifications.
Qualifications:
  • Read a tape measure (metric and standard)
  • Have a knowledge of basic math (addition, subtractions, etc.)
  • Read calipers
  • Have basic computer skills
  • Certified forklift operator helpful
  • Basic understanding of laser mechanics
  • Able to lift and handle up to 50 pounds
Duties:
  • run jobs in order of the dispatch
  • Operate machines
  • Clean machines
  • Break out parts from the machine
  • Move parts with forklift
  • Take out scrap with forklift
  • Mark and tag all raw material with the appropriate identification tags
  • Receive, tag, track and move all customer supplied material
  • Shrink wrap, move pallets, metal strap material
  • Review, inspect and use die grinders and portable grinders
  • Visually inspect all lubrication points for leaks and maintenance
  • Inspect and monitor laser optics, laser housing, welding gases, valve controls and table crates.
